NE Higher Education performance in National Student Survey

The National Student Survey has been published for the 11th year. This survey based on the views of students in the final year of their undergraduate studies. This survey is includes some further education colleges which offer higher education courses but is only a judgement of the higher education. The students are asked to answer 23 questions in questions in 7 key areas:

  • The teaching on the course
  • Assessment and feedback
  • Academic support
  • Organisation and management
  • Learning resources
  • Personal development
  • Practice placements

And then provide an overall assessment of their university/college.

  • Each university/college has two possible grades:
    • The first is student satisfaction for at the institution where the majority of their teaching happens.
    • The second is for students who are registered at the university/college but where the teaching may take place in other institutions e.g. where a course is delivered in a partner further education college.
