► Tackling Stigma

Investing in Children is pleased to share three short films that explore issues around mental health and can be viewed on the Investing in Children's Youtube channel.

These films have been developed as part of a national pilot to tackle the stigma associated with children's and young people's mental health.  The three films cover bereavement, eating disorder, and stress at home.  All of the films were developed, scripted and performed by young people in Durham, and were supported by two mental health professionals.

Each film also includes questions and activities at the end of each film that can be used to deliver workshops with young people and adults.  These questions were developed by a mental health professional and should hopefully support teachers, youth workers and other workers to lead discussions.
