The Rivergreen Centre in Aykley Heads Durham hosted the Enterprise in Education Day on Friday 4th July 2008. The event was organised by County Durham's Enterprise in Education Team and was aimed at both primary and secondary schools throughout the county. It gave young people the chance to showcase their up and running enterprises, as well as giving them some new challenges to develop and test their enterprise skills.
In teams from 17 schools, 90 students took part in a number of Enterprise activities including an Enterprise market, an environmental challenge and presentations to panels of judges to describe their in-school Enterprise projects. Meanwhile, Enterprising students from one school filmed a DVD of the event while students from another school made and sold souvenir items.
