From Monday 31st March 2008, young people aged 13-19 in the Stanley area will be able to see an adviser at a new venue:
The Tommy Armstrong Centre, Clifford Road, Stanley, DH9 0XG (link to map below).
This is the home of Derwentside CVS and Volunteer Bureau and is already used by a number of community groups.
An adviser will be available every Monday and Thursday. Young people who would like to book an appointment should contact our main centre in Consett on 0800 783 3481 [free from a landline only] or 01207 502 795. Those aged under 16 and in full time education should see their Personal Adviser in school or make an appointment outside of school hours.

The 2008/09 version of the Help4teens CD is now available. Each Year 9 and 11 student will receive a copy of the CD through their Connexions Personal Adviser.
The Youth Advisory Board for the 14-19 Commission has been asked to find out young people's opinions around education and the new diplomas....
You can now find out about open days and events offered by schools, colleges and other learning providers by using the Events Diary available on the area wide prospectus.
