Confidentiality
To be able to give you the best information, advice, guidance and support, Connexions needs to keep some information about you including your date of birth, gender, ethnicity, the name of your parent/carer, and where you attend school or college. We keep this information secure to comply with the Data Protection Act. If you want to know more about this, you can speak to Connexions Personal Adviser.
When you meet with a Connexions Personal Adviser, the discussion is confidential unless both you and the PA think it would help to give the information to someone else. You will be asked to give signed consent for this to happen. The only reason we will pass this information on without your permission is if there is a legal requirement to do so, or if there is a risk of serious harm or threat to life.
Equal Opportunities
Connexions has a commitment to equal opportunities and health and safety, which they abide by in their work with young people.
