► HNDs AND HNCs
HND (Higher National Diploma) (Level 4-8) is a well established vocational course and a HNC (Higher National Certificate) (Level 4-8) is the part time equivalent, which can be studied alongside working in a relevant job. HNDs and HNCs are qualifications you can study for at university or college of higher education. If you are wondering whether higher education is really for you then an HND/HNC may be a good qualification for you!
►Simply, an HND is more vocational than most degree courses and is at a slightly lower level.
►A HND can be completed in two years whereas a degree usually takes three or four years.
►You need fewer qualifications to study for an HND/HNC than for a degree.
