Your Accommodation / Homelessness & Running away

â–º Are you homeless?

Some young people have problems within their families. If these problems become out of control they may face difficulties with housing. For whatever reasons some young person end up homeless. If you ever find yourself out on the streets, living in an unsuitable place such as a squat or overcrowded hostel or relying on just about anyone to give you a bed for the night you can be considered homeless. This may be because you ran away from home or maybe your parents or girlfriend/boyfriend has thrown you out. Either way you are entitled to help from your local authority if you are under 18. You should find a friend to stay with or contact someone who can help straight away as no-one wants to be sleeping rough on the streets.
