► What do we do?

If you are aged 13-19 Connexions is a service for you. We have qualified professional Personal Advisers who can help you to plan for your future and choose a route that’s right for you.

Our Personal Advisers are based in 4 centres across County Durham, but each school has an adviser, who you may see in an:

·  Assembly
·  PSHE or Careers Lessons
·  Drop-in Session
·  One to one interview

Your head of year, careers coordinator or form tutor will be able to tell you how you can make an appointment to see your Personal Adviser. They can provide information, advice, guidance and support to help you with some of the questions you may have as you progress through your education, such as:

·  What options can I take?
·  What career is right for me?
·  What qualifications are available to me?
·  What is available in college or university?
·  Can I get any money to help me as I study?
·  What can I do with my free time?

Sometimes you might need advice about other things such as relationship or health issues; your Personal Adviser can offer you additional support or link you to specialist services. They can also can work closely with you if you have Special Educational Needs.
